MTMM046 LAH SS BMW R66

£9.99

Usually described as the LSSAH, the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler began as Hitler's personal bodyguard.  Initially the size of a regiment it grew into a division-sized unit.  Known for its fanatics, it is probably the most infamous of any regiment serving in WWII.

BMW's R66 was one of the fastest motorcycles of the time, capable of reaching speeds of 150 kph.  It was produced in relatively limited numbers and the type was cancelled in 1939 due to the Schell plan to restrict a multitude of types being manufactured, thus keeping spares down to a minimum for the Wehrmacht.
